"Get thee to a nunnery." (Shakespeare. Hamlet Act 3, scene 1)

When things were stressful at the office, I would joke and say - "take me to the nunnery." Well, be careful what you wish for. I arrived in Zurich at around 8:30 am local time, after watching 3 movies (including Frozen and the Monuments Mem... both very good...fell asleep a few times on the Book Thief) and getting a couple hours of sleep. The driver took us to a little town in Germany called Hegne, and wouldn't you know, we are staying at the Haus St. Elisabeth at the Kloster Hegne. This collection of Catholic facilities is located in a beautiful little town surrounded by lakes, with the River Rhein flowing through the lakes. The town includes a convent, assited living housing, schools and meeting rooms. I was able to fit in a jog/walk through "the forest" and tomorrow my meetings are in the town of Konstanz.

  1. Beautiful country! Love this blog T, just took me away from my office in beautiful Newark NJ to Hegne Germany. The countryside reminds me of Austria and Styerling :-) Enjoy your jaunts in the forest, but stay out of the nunnery!!
